What is the reason why Maitake mushroom primordium does not differentiate?

When cultivating mushrooms in indoor bags, if environmental conditions are improperly controlled, about 50–70% of the primordia fail to differentiate into fruiting bodies. Only a small portion of primordia form fruiting bodies, which are small in size, poor in quality, and low in yield. Wild-simulated cultivation can improve this situation, but some primordia still wither or rot after differentiation.

Symptoms:
The primordia surface shows no secreted water droplets, appears dry, turns yellow, or rots.

Causes:
This is caused by an imbalance of the four major factors: temperature, humidity, air, and light. Examples include excessive moisture loss from the mushroom bags, insufficient ambient humidity, poor balance between ventilation and humidity control, incorrect timing of humidity adjustment, or inappropriate light intensity causing primordia to dry out or burn.

Prevention and Control:
After identifying the cause, adjust and balance the four major factors — temperature, humidity, air exchange, and light — in a targeted manner to achieve a relative equilibrium.
